Jesus Youth Professionals Ministry

My encounter with Jesus

As the only child of my parents, till the age of 12, I used to eagerly wish the fellowship and joy of being with friends of same age, But when I got dejected be everyone, including the school, due to my selfish attitudes my life got scattered.

After continuing in a different school, for two more years detached from everyone, came the month of August 1983.
Overhearing an invitation to parents to attend a retreat, something prompted me to go for it.

The retreat healed me and after a good confession, I could not believe my attitude and behavior. It was totally changed. It was the beginning of my new life in the spirit.

The main preacher of the retreat initiated us to the parish prayer group which was my first fellowship group. I started praying with the elders and was gradually introduced to weekend programs with other prayer group members in Ernakulam. My growth in the spirit was always gradual.

In 1985 my father got transfered and I came across some others who were trying to pray together after attending a few retreats.

Gradually my admission to TKM College of Engineering introduced me to a new world. I could realize Romans 8:28 when I reached there, my bitter experience in the boarding school made me a trained hostel inmate in engineering College.

I have often fallen, but Jesus has gifted me up and guided me and helped me. He has bought so far. I know I have not reached anywhere, but on the way. Jesus is faithful and He continues to take control of me and my family.

Praise the Lord,
John Wilfred
